గొంతెమ్మకోరిక (gonthemma korika)

    అర్థము

   (పదబంధం): కుంతి - ప్రకృతి : గొంతి - వికృతి; కుంతికోరుకున్నట్లు సాధ్యం కాని, తీర్చలేని కోరిక; 

   Meaning

     (phrase) : wishing something that's impossible or unreasonable 

     వాడుక / Usage

  అతని గొంతెమ్మకోరికలు తీర్చలేక ఇంట్లోంచి గెంటేశారు.

  Vexed with his unreasonable demands they threw him out of the house.

    మెదడుకు మేత / Food for thought

"కరములందు నమరు గంగాధరుని బట్టి

  తీర్థములకు బోయి తిరుగు చుండ్రు

  వెన్న బట్టి నెయ్యి వెదికిన చందంబు

  విశ్వధాబి రామ వినుర వేమ"

(You hold Shiva in your palms and look for him in pilgrimages. It is like holding butter in your hands and looking for ghee)
